During the Spring of 2013, my life had hit an all-time high and an all-time low. I found myself following my passion and building Radiantly You but also struggling against my old patterns, habits and other peoples beliefs about whether or not I could grow this business to where I deeply believed it could (and should) be.
I’ve never done this before.
I have no idea how to put all the pieces together.
I don’t have the finances.
I don’t have the resources.
I’m pregnant with baby #3, how in the world do I think I’ll pull this off?
And then to top it off, I had OTHER PEOPLE in my ear saying the same thing. Did they want to see me fail? Probably not, but they certainly didn’t seem to want me to take the leaps necessary to make it happen.
Then I made the choice. Radiantly You was it. I was cashing it all in. I decided to take the same commitment from my marriage and apply it here – something I had never really done before with anything but I knew no matter what, I was not going to give up. I was sick of living a quiet life – tired of wondering why I never really tried hard at anything & deep down, I knew I was capable. Scared but capable.
And you know what? I’ve converted my toughest critic – ME. When I decided to pitch my tent here and that RY was going to be the THING that would change my families life forever, THAT was the game changer. I went for it. I believed I was special. I believed I have gifts to offer others and I decided I was going to give my true, honest 100% no matter what.
And I want that SO BADLY FOR YOU.
8 Things to Change Your Life
- Don’t let the complainers, the critics, the naysayer’s sway you. You’re a winner.
- Spend time with those who are POSITIVE. #Ditchandswitch people. For real.
- Develop the ability to see the good -> find connection with everyone this way.
- Don’t worry about what you can’t control.
- Perfection is a myth. Be real.
- Get a Hero.
- Be positive – life is TOO SHORT to walk around like Sadness all day (Inside Out, anyone?)
- Be responsible. Take complete responsibility for good AND bad. Excuses don’t count.
And please, please give yourself some grace.
It’s human nature to fear and worry. We’ve all worried about bills, the future, health, our image. Fear is inevitable but it is your ability to overcome fear that can make you a champion. Your ultimate destiny will be determined by what you use deep inside to pick yourself up, in-spite of all those worries.
